Spring? Rainy April mornings.  New Beginnings.  While the temperature says otherwise, the sun is warming our hearts.  I choose today, a crisp April morning, to express my gratitude to the staff and volunteers of New Beginnings Therapeutic Riding Foundation and also the families of our participants.  The success of our riders is evidence that we are a great team!  As our riders showed off their riding skills at the Spring Fling Horse Show, our team knew the 'big picture' of what went into creating that moment of joy.  It was an effort of dedication and success.

The New Beginnings Therapeutic Riding Foundation was established to support those of all abilities and personal challenges.  We believe that independence means different things to different people. Our program helps people increase their confidence and self-esteem in order to develop their own independence while enhancing their lives.  The goal of the New Beginning Therapeutic Riding Foundation is to promote independence through learning riding skills.  With the gentle assistance of our equine partners, our participants become highly motivated to learn and grow towards their full potential.

Our staff and volunteers believe that independence is essential to success.  The connection between equine and humans has been proven to nurture respect and confidence while the gentle loving nature of the horse lessens anxiety and fear.

"Success travels in the company of very hard work.  There is no trick, no easy way."  John Wooden, Life Coach.

The demonstration of our riders at the Spring Fling Horse Show was a great experience for all involved.  The smiles on every face (riders, volunteers, and audience) definately reflected that all were working hard for something we believe in.

As we continue to grow, please consider joining us.  Donations can come in any form.  Volunteering, monetary, gifts, tributes and memorials; the list is endless.  No gift is too small, as we appreciate any thoughts or considerations.

Again, thank you to everyone who continually join us as we help others become their best selves!

  • There will be a volunteer huddle on Sunday, March 11th.  I hope you can all come out for either a refresher course or newbie training.  Our lessons begin at 3:45 and end at 5:00.  This is a great opportunity to come out and see the transformation of our riders, and then stay for the training.
